Chelsea over at http://www.loveisinthedetails.ca/home/index.html posted a blog challenge, What makes your house a home? A big part of what makes my house feel like home is of course the evidence that children live here. It doesn't' matter what room you go into you can tell right away that young children are around. OK so some might think it's clutter, but I love it....they won't be young and have toys all over forever...right?! Here are some pictures I took of the things I think make it warm & cozy...

This picture hung in my parents home since before I was born. My Dad always called the little boy Shanky Lutt. This was one of 2 things I couldn't bear to see my Mom get rid of when she downsized to her apartment. I love this picture, not because it's beautiful or a great piece of art, but because it makes me thing of my Dad and smile. The other item is my Great Grandmother's piano.....I don't play, no real interest in learning either, but I couldn't bear to see it go.

That's all for tonight....Ciao!

Great photos Lisa! Thanks for sharing part of your home life with us. I don't look at it as clutter either. When you have 3 kids, you are bound to have toys and stuff every where. After all, you are living in your home and not using it as a museum! ;o)

BTW, you are totally rocking these LOs!! Loving them all! You are one talented scrapper!

I agree with the kid "mess" ~ Our childless friends I'm sure smirk a bit and think that THEY won't have a house like that when they have kids...Oh well.
On day when they are grown and gone, my house will look like a spread in a magazine...and I will be SO sad...

Some great pics. I don't blame you for hanging on to the picture or piano.
