CKC Blog Hop

My deepest apologies everyone I must have messed up my dates for the blog hop...oops!  I hope you'll all hop by later tonight to see what I've made.

It's been a crazy day today, and again I'm sorry to be so late...but better late than never, especially for a party!  You should have arrived here from Susanne's blog, if not be sure to head back over to CKC and start from the beginning.

This months blog hop challenge was to showcase a stamping technique, now there was a technique I was trying to do but it was not working.  But I see that Lisa H used it and has a handy link on her blog, so I'll be off to study!

After a little frustration I went with techniques I know well.  If you spend any time on my blog you will know that I love Tim Holtz Distress Inks, they are my go to ink for just about everything.  One of the many things I love about them is how nice they look when you layer stamped images using different colors of Distress Ink.

After I layered the butterfly using Barn Door I decided I wanted it to pop a little more so I added some clear embossing powder....it really makes a difference!

I also decided to add a little stamped flourish to the top left corner of the card.  But the green is so dark that I decided to use a little Distress Embossing powder (scattered straw) to lighten up the corner, but not take any focus away from the rest of the card.
Thank you for hopping by (and forgiving my lateness) please continue on the hop and head over to Gabrielle's blog to see her fabulously fun layout!!
