Getting all inky!!

Wow February seemed to just fly by, here we are a new month and spring is just around the corner!!  This also means that the kids hockey season is soon over...phew we survived another one!

I spent some time this weekend playing with my dies, ink & embossing powder and made myself a fun & creative little calendar!

To me there is nothing better than taking left over plain boring chipboard and turning it into something new & creative!!

Now I have somewhere to keep track of all my CT assigments, and when the year is over I can replace the calendar portion with more art....or make a new calendar for next year!

You can see more details about how I made this and the products I used on the Love Is In The Details blog!

Hope you've had a great weekend and made something creative!

More Valentine's Fun!

Hello there bloggers, I have another Valentine's project to share today!

I went a little outside the box on this one, had a little fun with some Love My Tapes frabric sheets.

I used the traditional pink for this project, but decided to add a little fun & whimsy with the Cow Print Fabric Sheet on the mannequin.

The inside of the arch is covered using the Hot Pink Suede Fabric Sheet, and the chipboard butterflies are covered with the Light Pink Snake Skin Fabric Sheet. I love the different textures all these fabric sheets add to a project. I also added a little strip of White Lace Tape to the bottom of the project.

The month of love isn't over yet, I'll be back tomorrow with yes another Valentine's project to share.  And the fun won't stop there, I still have a few other goodies up my sleeve!!

I have never made this many Valentine's projects in all the years since I started scrapbooking.....combined!  Not sure what got into me this year, must have been hit by one of Cupid's arrows! LOL

Until tomorrow......

Love Cubed

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

I have a Valentine's project up on the Love Is In The Details blog today.....I call it my little love cube.  Ok I know that sounds totally cheesy, but I think all these Valentine's projects I've been making have turned my brain a little too lovey dovey mushy! LOL

Seriously what else would I call a cube covered with photos of those I love most.

I now have this sitting on my desk at work, I love having a little something there to look at and bring a smile to my face every day.  Of course some of my co-workers were confused by the #14, they thought it was a calendar and I was on the wrong date! LOL  But that did give me an idea to use it as a calendar, I'm still think on this one.

I wrapped the mini spool with some lace tape from Love My Tapes, then stuck a couple of cute heart stick pins in the lace.

All of the flowers on top were made using different fabric sheets from Love My Tapes, cut with the Tim Holtz tattered florals die.  Once I had the flowers formed I dipped each one into some UTEE, love the effect this gave!

I added some pearls to the centre of a couple of the flowers to finish them off!

Valentine's Day is only a couple of days away...do you have any plans with your loved ones?

It's all wrapped up...

Are you a fussy fancy wrapper making each gift looks special, or do you slap on some store bought wrapping paper a tag and call it a day?

For the kids I just slap it together (although they each have had their own special papers) because if you've ever watched a kid on Christmas morning.......let's just say if you get in the way you could loose a limb! LOL  But I will take a little more time if the gift is for an adult, like those special friends or my Mom.

I bought these paper mache nesting boxes and decorated them with MME Lost & Found Christmas (so in love with line)....

I just love all that brown with the red glitter & sequins!!

On the sequins ribbon I actually attached a little self adhesive velcro, so not only can I (or the gift receiver) use this over again, but it makes adding that last little touch so easy & fast.  We all know time is at a premium during the holidays so a girls got to do what a girls go to do!

This tag was the demo that I did at the fall Love Is In The Details Christmas Crop...a quick easy project but they look SO beautiful!

Now I need to decide do I want to actually use it for a gift or keep for myself because it makes a pretty good looking ornament too! LOL  I am thinking of filling the boxes with a few little treats for my Mom and her other half, even though they say not to buy them gifts. But ssshhh don't tell her!

We're 3 days into December who has their Christmas shopping done??  Anyone have all their crafty gifts made?  I don't not even close...yikes!

If you're looking for some inspiration this month be sure to check out the LIITD Blog, Lori is doing a post daily to celebrate the month of December and the holidays!

More Halloween Fun

Here's another little Halloween project I made...this time I used some awesome products from Love My Tapes!

The lid of the coffin is covered with one of their Fabric Sheets, this one feels like leather....so soft, I love it!  The best part is you can stamp & use embossing powder on it just like paper, how awesome is that?!

I finished off the edge of the lid with some Black Lace Tape.

Later this week I'll have another project to share for Love My Tapes!

Thanks for stopping by!
