Memories of Banff

Happy Hump Day!!

Today I have a layout to share which I created using Die-Namites Dies!

As a mother of two boys I like many find it hard to make things work on boy pages...but I also like the challenge of taking something feminine and making it work.

On my layout I paired the Butterfly Wreath with it's flowers & butterflies with Knobby Branch which is more neutral.

Here is the page I created using some photos from our summer trip last year to Banff, AB Canada!

You can read more about this page on the Die-Namites Dies Blog.

I hope you have a great day and take some time to enjoy the warm weather while it's still here!

Life is Crazy & Good

Here we are halfway through July, in a blink of an eye the kids will be back to school and summer will be over...boo hoo.

You know that saying 'no rest for the wicked' well that's certainly true around my house, Mike and I have taken on two major reno projects this summer, new garage and a full basement re-do.  I guess summer is a little too quiet with all the kids sports being done we needed something to keep us out of trouble! LOL

But even through all this I make time for myself and my scrapbooking.  I have a temporary space set up in my bedroom, it's not the best but hey it works.  And in the end it will be so worth it, I'm planning a much better space for myself in the basement. :)

I have another layout to share today that I created using Die-Namites dies, this one is about me right here in the moment....Life is Good!

I used Flowery Butterfly and Rose Bush to create this page, you can see full details and some close-up photos on the Die-Namites Blog.

It's time for me to go and get busy creating!!
Have a fabulous week, and thanks for stopping by!

It's Die-Namite!!!

I am so excited to share my first project as part of the Die-Namites design team!!

I have been die cutting for years, and used lots of different brands...I have to say that these dies cut like butter!  The designs are so detailed and just beautiful!

I used three different dies on my layout...

Head over to the Die-Namites blog to see some close ups and more details!  While you're there be sure to check out what the other DT members have been creating...you won't be sorry. :)

I'm off to play some more with these amazing dies!

Happy New Year!!!

Here we are full swing into 2013!!

This weekend is the winter CHA show, so exciting I love to see all the new products the companies have for us!!

In preparation for all the new goodies I know I will HAVE to have, I decided to dig through my stash and use up some older products.

I created this layout for the Love Is In The Details blog, using My Little Bicycle Winter Twig line.

You can read a little more about this layout HERE.

Since I totally missed the month of December (things get to crazy around here to keep up with everything) I have some catch up to do....so I'll be back soon!

sunday catch up

Back to work tomorrow after a glorious & relaxing week at home with the kids for Spring Breatk.  I figured before I head back and life gets a little less relaxing I better get a few things caught up...blogging is one of those things!

Today I have 3 differnt projects to share that I made for Love Is In the Details, starting with a couple of cards that were just posted on the Blog today!

I used the new Tim Holtz Distress Markers on both cards, the first one I colored in the flowers using Fired Brick & Work Lipstick.

On this next card I used the markers to color my stamp and then stamped the image.  I love that these markers allow you to take a block stamp and use mulitple colors on your image!

If you haven't gotten any of the Distress Markers yet, head over HERE, Lori still has a great selection in stock, or you can pre-order the entire set!

Next up I have a couple of layouts to share, the first one I used the new MME Follow Your Heart collection.

This last layout was all about using up a little of my stash, hey I gotta make some room for all the new goodies that are flooding into the store!  I pulled out my Sizzix dies, some older Sassfrass and had a little fun!

I think that's enough sharing for one day, I have a few other projects to post, but I'll save those for another day!  Have a great week everyone, and thanks for stopping by!!

List of Love

We're still in the month of March right?  I cannot believe the amazing weather we're having, almost all our snow is gone and the temps are so high I might even pull on the shorts this weekend!  Every year my birthday wish is to have no snow on my birthday, since it is the first day of spring and all.  I think once in the (soon to be) 38 years of my life this wish has come true, and it looks like I'll get my wish this year!  I guess I won't need all those candles on my birthday cake! LOL

Today I have another layout for Love My Tapes to share, it's a list of the top 5 things I love about my daughter Samantha.

I pulled out lots of Love My Tapes supplies for this layout. The heart banner is made using the Taffy Fabric Tape and the hearts were cut from this Fabric Sheet. Under the journaling strips I used the Jane Fabric Tape, and I mounted the photo with some fabric sheets & tape, then added a few bits of the Dark Pink Lace Tape.

You should head over the the Blog, it got a little face lift today and is looking mighty pretty!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lori just brought in a whole bunch of new Prima......oh it's SO beautiful!!!!

And a little birdie told me there is going to be some more new goodies next week that are at the top of my list!!!!  Be sure to watch the shopping page for all the new stuff!

Making room

Have you been checking out all the sneak peeks from CHA?  I have been and there's lots of delicious new goodies coming out!!

Lori at Love Is In The Details has been busy ordering, and I can't wait for the new stuff to start coming in!  While I'm waiting I decided it was time to start making a little room in my stash. :)

This layout is just a start, I need to get busy creating and use up some more of my stash!

If you're looking for some inspiration to use up some of your own stash be sure to check out the LIITD Blog and see what my fellow designers Norine & Chelsea, have been up to, and Lori has been getting down in her scrap room too!

Hope you've had a great weekend!

i Heart my boys

Happy Sunday bloggers!!

Today I have a layout I made for Love My Tapes to share.  This one has been sent off to the LMT home office and will be making it's way to CHA at the end of the month, I wish I was going too!

I know pink is not usually used for boy layouts.......but I've never been one to follow the 'rules' that closely!  But I didn't want the layout to be too girly so I added some more boyish elements with the gears, which I covered in the Newsprint Fabric Sheet then colored with Distress Stains.

If you haven't checked out our sketch challenge yet you still have time to join in, just head over to the blog for all the details!
