Enjoy the little things - Washi Tape Card

Hello everyone today I have another fun project using the new Washi Tapes from Love My Tapes!

Before I show you my project today I wanted to say that this will be my last post as part of the Love My Tapes Design Team. The last year has been so fabulous and I have really enjoyed being part of the Design Team, making new friends, sharing inspiring ideas and working with the amazing Love My Tapes products. It was not an easy decision to make and I thought long and hard about continuing as part of the Design Team, but in the end decided to move on. I wish all the remaining Design Team members all the best, and good luck to the new individuals enjoying the team!

Ok with that out of the way on to my card!

I wanted to make something cute & fun with the Washi Tapes, not a style I normally gravitate towards, but hey when the mood strikes you have to go with it. I know the Polaroid look is fairly popular right now and decided to make a fun little Polaroid scene using Washi Tape (of course), cardstock, chipboard and some dies.

I started by making the sky background by adding strips of Washi Tape over white cardstock. Then I covered a chipboard circle with layers of the Green Polka Dot Washi Tape. The butterflies & bird are covered with the Red Argyle Washi Tape. For the clouds I again covered white cardstock with more Washi Tape and cut them out with a Memory Box cloud die.

Before I go I want to thank everyone for the support and wonderful comments! I wish Love My Tapes and the Design Team all the best!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!!

Today I'm sharing a little gift I made for my Mom, using a Kraft Card & Pillow Box from Love Is In The Details.  If you didn't know Lori has a great Packaging section in the store, full of products that will help you jazz up a gift!

I decorated both the card & pillow box to match, using my Tim Holtz Sizzix Dies, and some vintage doilies that had been my Grandma's.

On the card I used the Caged Bird and Tattered Florals Sizzix dies.  The ribbon is also from the LIITD store, hand died by Lori herself!

For the pillow box I used the Tattered Florals die matched with Tim's Mini Cage mover & shapers die.  I didn't add a mother's day wish on the Pillow Box so that my Mom can use it again when she wants to give a special friend a little gift.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!!!

sunday catch up

Back to work tomorrow after a glorious & relaxing week at home with the kids for Spring Breatk.  I figured before I head back and life gets a little less relaxing I better get a few things caught up...blogging is one of those things!

Today I have 3 differnt projects to share that I made for Love Is In the Details, starting with a couple of cards that were just posted on the Blog today!

I used the new Tim Holtz Distress Markers on both cards, the first one I colored in the flowers using Fired Brick & Work Lipstick.

On this next card I used the markers to color my stamp and then stamped the image.  I love that these markers allow you to take a block stamp and use mulitple colors on your image!

If you haven't gotten any of the Distress Markers yet, head over HERE, Lori still has a great selection in stock, or you can pre-order the entire set!

Next up I have a couple of layouts to share, the first one I used the new MME Follow Your Heart collection.

This last layout was all about using up a little of my stash, hey I gotta make some room for all the new goodies that are flooding into the store!  I pulled out my Sizzix dies, some older Sassfrass and had a little fun!

I think that's enough sharing for one day, I have a few other projects to post, but I'll save those for another day!  Have a great week everyone, and thanks for stopping by!!

Simon Says - Distress

It's been WAY too long since I played along with a challenge at Simon Says Stamp & Show, but I was cropping yesterday and had all my DT stuff done....well the stuff I had to finish yesterday.....so I played.

I just picked up this Tim Holtz die and embossing folder, I couldn't resist playing with them!  I don't do 'manly' cards often, I actually find them challenging, but I'm loving how this one turned out.

So the challenge for this week at Simon Says is to show your distressed or torn edges.  Not a ton of distressing going on here, but I did distress the background paper and the tag!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!!!  If you are lucky enough to still have your father in your life...enjoy him today!!!
